Cookie Policy

Last updated 1 October 2026.

In short

  • This website (weftnetworks.com) sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
  • The Weft app (app.weftnetworks.com) uses only what is strictly necessary to sign you in and keep you signed in.
  • We use no analytics, advertising, social media or tracking cookies, and no third-party trackers of any kind.

Cookies and similar storage that are strictly necessary for a service you have asked for do not need your consent under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations or the EU ePrivacy rules. That is why you will not see a cookie banner. If we ever want to use anything that is not strictly necessary, we will ask you first and update this page.

The website

None. No cookies, no local or session storage, and no scripts that track you. We count which pages are read from our hosting provider's standard request logs, which do not involve your device; see the Privacy Notice. When you press a "Start free trial" button, the name of the page you were on travels in the link itself, so it is not stored on your device either.

The Weft app

NameSet byWhat it doesHow long
sdwan_session (cookie)Weft, on app.weftnetworks.comKeeps you signed in. It holds a random identifier, not your details, and your browser will not let scripts read it.Until you sign out; at most 24 hours (8 hours when you sign in with Google or your organisation's sign-in)
sdwan.token (session storage)Weft, on app.weftnetworks.comOnly if you sign in with an API token instead of a password: holds that token for the browser tab you are using.Until you close the tab or sign out

Signing in

Sign-in pages are provided by Amazon Cognito, part of Amazon Web Services, which acts for us. They are served from weft-app.auth.eu-west-2.amazoncognito.com and set these cookies on that address:

NameWhat it doesHow long
XSRF-TOKENProtects the sign-in form against requests forged by other websites.Until you close your browser
csrf-state, csrf-state-legacyTie the sign-in you started to the one that finishes, for the same reason.About 5 minutes
Cognito's sign-in session cookieRemembers that you have signed in to the sign-in service, so you are not asked again straight away.Set by Cognito; ends when its sign-in session does

If you choose Continue with Google, Google uses its own cookies on its own websites while you sign in, under Google's cookie policy. We do not control them.

Turning cookies off

Every browser lets you block or delete cookies. You can do that for weftnetworks.com and lose nothing. Blocking the app's cookies, or Cognito's, stops you signing in to the app, because those cookies are what signing in is.
